Well we will call this the Smith/Smith Christmas pictures.  That means the Smith (Todd) and then Smith (Twig) side of the family.  Later this week is the Smith/Kolb side of the family and we will update with pictures then.  But here are a few we took of the cousins enjoying everything but gifts.



Jacob and Jackson

The cousins spent time playing at Grandparent Smith's house when Grandma and Grandpa took their Christmas picture.  They are sending out cards really late but wanted to wait until Jacob was home.

Well the little guy didn't enjoy himself unless mommy was holding him.

Jacob enjoys his friend Scout.  It is a toy that you plug into your computer and can add his name, favorite food, etc.  Whenever we have Scout play music Jacob dances to him.  Usually he swings side to side.  But we recorded some of his dancing last night to share.

Story time for Jacob

Nearly every night Halle reads to Jacob.  He likes to turn the page whenever she reads to him.  We can only film about 50-55 seconds on a video and email it from our phones.  So they either get cut off a bit when it is at the end of what will send through the email.

Pictures from Jacob's 8 month B-Day

This is one time lapsed series of pictures from when Jacob stood up until...well.

The last picture is out of focus a bit.  Kind of more an action shot than the others.

Jacob is proud to stand up

He likes to tell everyone how happy he is whenever he stands up.  He makes sure everyone hears how well he has done to get up on his feet.

You can see him pulling himself up in the first video and then more happiness expressed in the second.  We have to keep the videos under a minute each when filming from our phone to be able to email it from the phone to our email due to the size of file.  That is why they are split up into separate videos.

He seems to enjoy jumping around in a new toy that is on loan to us from the Rabold's.

Jacob is learning to sit up after he crawls

If you watch closely you will see how he swings his leg around under him and that is how he goes from stomach to sitting up.

7 Month B-Day pictures

Here are a few pictures from the big guys 7-month birthday.

Jacob first learned how to go round and round and explore his stroller.

Later he decided to try and see what the carpet is all about.

Jacob really enjoyed trying a new food. He seems to like sweet potatoes.

6 month doctor checkup!

Jacob had a good visit with the doctor today. He had his temperature taken, weighed, check the heart, and had some shots. But everything was great according to the doc.

Happy 6 month birthday Jacob!

We did a lot for his 6 month B-Day.

First we took some pictures.

Then we tried some food.

At first he was more interested in the garbage bag than his food.

Then Jacob started to understand what was going on.

By the time we were done he was trying to eat the bowl and had some fun.

Jacob graduated to the "Big Boy Tub"

Grandma Smith sent a new mini tub that sits inside the big tub. Fits great and looks like Jacob had a really fun time tonight with his first try.

4th of July weekend from the condo in Lincoln City

The little guy spent a lot of time just chilling out this weekend.

He also spent a lot of time napping.
It is tiring being outside on walks with mom and dad.



We forgot the tub back in Portland and had to compromise a bit.
But he had some fun.



He had several times he enjoyed just laying around with mommy laughing and having fun.

This is what he was able to sleep through for part of the firework show.

More Saturday fun

Jacob enjoys pulling his blanket over his head and waiting to play "Peek-a-boo". If you play this with sound you will hear him laughing with me.

Jacob is starting to sit up on his own power. Doesn't last long but he is getting there.

Big day for Jacob - Portland Rose Festival parade

We were in the parade. Well...We were part of a group that got to walk the parade route before the official parade began. We were asked by one of Halle's friends if we wanted to participate wtih her company as the sponsors of the walk. The route was four miles and amazing how many thousands of people come to watch this parade. People put chairs and block off sections the day before.

This video is just before we started.

We had reserve seats after the walk at the end of the route. Here is one of the typical Portland experiences. They show up for all sorts of events. Basically it is a group who all use to be in band and still participate as an organized group. Personally it reminds me of something in the show Portlandia.

Later in the day, Jacob tried to cruise around town without the car seat and in the stroller as a big boy. He did great.

After a big day, mommy and Jacob were tired and took a nap.

Even after Halle wakes up, Jacob was completely crashed.

Jacob's four month doctor appointment

Today was his doctor appointment. He cried a lot from the shots but overall was very good.
